With Stratos, VS is introducing an elegant chair, very distinctive in its discrete, nature-inspired esthetic. The Stratos molded wood shell is the eye-catcher, manufactured in beech or oak. Whether in natural effect wood or black or white stain – its materiality is retained in all versions, as is the high-quality character of the wood. All of the sophisticated craft process is carried out exclusively at VS. The Stratos plywood shell can be combined with seat padding or seat and back padding. The choices here include high quality fabric and leather, their fresh, clear color lending additional visual emphases, offering opportunities for attractive color contrasts.

Stratos is available in three versions: the Stratos W visitor’s chair is four-legged with a steel-wire frame, Stratos S4 is a conference swivel chair with a four-star aluminum base and Stratos S5 an office swivel chair with a five-star aluminum base. The swivel chair versions are infinitely height adjustable with convenient, cushioned, soft stop function. Both chairs carry the option of an ergonomic 3D tilt mechanism for dynamic sitting. The flexible seat surface reacts gently to body movement supporting an active forward-leaning sitting posture as well as relieving back tension when the body is leaning back. The Stratos S4 conference swivel chair offers in addition an optional return-back function. This automatic return function turns the chair automatically and realigns it toward the conference table.
