VS Stakki
A new, iconic chair

Three-legs, triangular basic shape, manufactured from a single part, design reduced to a minimum. The VS Stakki chair stands out at first sight. It is visually and functionally unique. With his innovative concept, the designer Martin Ballendat has created a literally iconic chair. Seen from above, VS Stakki looks like a graphically reduced symbol – individual and absolutely unmistakeable.

Design: Martin Ballendat
The designer Martin Ballendat (born 1958 in Bochum) and his studio have already worked for numerous international companies and brands. He designs furniture for residential use as well as for the non-domestic and office sectors. He has always been fascinated by the question of chairs. In the case of the VS Stakki, he has provided an extreme example of the designer’s art. He wanted to reduce the chair to an absolute minimum. His vision: As little as conceivably possible to provide the greatest possible functionality. A chair that is full of freedom and exceptionally versatile. The result stands firmly on its own three feet.

Sophisticated details
-
High stacking capability
The stepped shape of the glide elements and the concave leg profile make the chairs very easy to stack and ensure stability; the seat surfaces are protected when stacked. Ten chairs can easily be stacked almost vertically on top of one another.
-
Comfortable however you sit
What is the right way to sit on a chair with a triangular seat surface? Whatever way you like! The VS Stakki permits a wide range of positions, whether front-on, side-on, oblique or astride. Users can sit on Stakki from every side and still enjoy the same ergonomic comfort. The chair has only a small surface, but it is exactly the right amount to ensure all-round seating comfort.

-
Exceptionally space-saving
At floor level, the VS Stakki again takes up little space and can be easily pushed close together like the slices of a cake. Six chairs can be fitted around a circular table while leaving ample freedom of movement for the sitters' legs.
-
For indoor and outdoor use
The VS Stakki has been comprehensively tested and judged to be safe. Testing by the TÜV Technical Inspection Association also certifies that it is suitable and authorized for indoor and outdoor use.

DROP – the matching table for VS Stakki
The stackable, weather-resistant plastic table is available in two colours, white and dolphin grey, and in two shapes, square and round.
The table legs are attached to the tabletop with screws and have plastic glides. These ensure good stability on the terrace as well as in the canteen, cafeteria or assembly hall.
