The Barony Campus Cumnock, East Ayrshire UK

Barony Campus in Cumnock, East Ayrshire, is situated on a 19.8 hectare, urban fringe site, consolidating five separate schools into one - creating a new centre of learning for Cumnock, Auchinleck and the surrounding areas. The campus accommodates 2,500 students and 300 staff, which includes a secondary school for 1,633 pupils, a primary school for 517 pupils and an Early Childhood Centre, providing 1140 hours of early learning and childcare to approximately 120 children.

Scotland’s Curriculum for Excellence calls for a more flexible approach to education, giving learners greater independence and responsibility for their own learning. This shift is supported by flexible furniture from VS. The campus also includes a school for Additional Support Needs (ASN), and VS furniture played a key role in helping us create an innovative and highly adaptable learning space for this area.
