What is the Knowla Box?
The Knowla Box makes it easy to integrate playful learning into the classroom. This compact, all-in-one solution houses an Epson short-throw projector and a Windows computer. It is used to project large-format interactive learning content onto the wall or floor.

The educational principle
The principle isn’t new. We’re all familiar with it: we learn particularly well and effectively when our curiosity is piqued. When we feel motivated to take on a challenge – voluntarily, out of passion, because it’s fun. And when we’re allowed to engage different senses.
The Knowla Box makes the most of this: it applies game mechanics to learning situations. This challenges and motivates children as they learn.
The educational core
As well as the hardware, the focus is on the Knowla Planets. These are learning packs developed by experts for different subjects and skill levels. Each of the 17 planets – such as Planet Hopsa shown here – contains up to 250 educational games. They can be used both in the classroom and in after-school care.
The planets cover the following areas:
- language and communication,
- mathematics,
- natural sciences and
- creativity.
Depending on the educational game, they promote not only subject-specific skills but also, in a targeted manner, the skills of the future, as well as physical activity, fine motor skills and relaxation.
Each planet can be used independently of the others.
